The Casuals steering group recently studied Thongsbridge fixtures and suggested June 3rd (Scholes) and July 29th (Honley).
Bill, Greg and myself met with Gerald Kemp and Alan Moore on 14th February at Thongsbridge CC. The Scholes event would be less busy and perhaps more suited to an overcast or rainy day when the clubhouse would be in play. Plan for 30-40 Casuals visitors.
Catering (1) Running a tab at the bar for Casuals guests wearing an identity elastic wrist band. Amount to be decided.
(2) Meat (chicken, beef, hotdogs) and vegetable burgers and wraps, wristbands again, monitored with a dedicated till. Amount to be decided.
Casuals memorabilia exhibits were left with Gerald for the cricket club committee to peruse and come up with ideas. Casuals history could be covered by a discrete digital wall display showing a rolling series of photographs. A commentary was optional but maybe impractical.
The game itself begins 12.30pm. It was suggested that the Casuals could start arriving 1.30-2.00pm.
The afternoon could be included as part of the club’s regular website information.
